# Power On

Learn to Power On a circuit

In Virtual Breadboard there is a **Design Mode** where circuits are layout out and **Runtime Mode** where circuits are virtualized and can be interactively tested and explored. We call moving into *Runtime mode* **Powering On**. 

**Award** : Locate and press the 'Power On' button in the Top App Toolbar. The L.E.D will brighten showing the circuit is powered.

To return to _Design Mode_ press the **Power Off** Button 

**Award** : Locate and press the 'Power Off' button in the Top App Toolbar. The L.E.D will darken to show the circuit is no longer powered.

To close a project and return to the previous project finder choose a close method from the **Options**

**Award** : Close the project by locating and pressing the *Close project without saving* button from the options menu
